Expanding the movement for better streets across California

Streets For All San Francisco is a grassroots advocacy group working to make it safer and easier to get around the city. We believe everyone, from kids to grandparents, should be able to move freely and safely by walking, biking, rolling, or taking transit.

Streets make up 25% of the city’s land, yet they’ve long been overlooked as public space. We believe our streets can be safe, vibrant, and people-centered, and that change doesn’t have to take decades.

As the San Francisco chapter of Streets For All, we’re part of a statewide effort to build more livable cities through better transportation, urban planning, and climate policy. We organize locally to push for change on our streets: better public transit, separated bike and bus lanes, smarter parking policy, speed enforcement, and people-first streets.

Our work builds on the legacy of KidSafe SF, a parent-led group that launched during the pandemic to defend and expand new public spaces like JFK Promenade, the Great Highway, and Slow Streets.

Today, with a broader vision, we’re fighting for a city where:"

  • Kids can bike to school and walk to the park without fear

  • Transit is accessible, reliable, and abundant, making it the best choice for a majority of trips in the city

  • Public space reflects the needs of people, not just cars

  • Climate justice and equity guide how we use our streets

We bring together parents, workers, students, small business owners, and neighbors to reimagine our streets, block by block.
