Keep Market St Moving
Keep Market Street Moving is a coalition campaign to defend the benefits of car-free Market Street, and prevent additional vehicles from creating more congestion, slower transit, and dangerous street conditions.
Mayor Daniel Lurie announced in April 2025 that Waymo would soon be allowed to operate on Market Street, opening the door to a future of more cars on Market. Along with a broad coalition of mobility and disability rights groups, we are pushing back on any attempt to open Market Street to private vehicles.
